The Beast of Bolivia?
Bolivia North Carolina, that is..
The roots of Mysterious Earth lie in the fertile farm grounds of southeastern North Carolina, so you can be sure that an alleged mauling by a mystery beast in Bolivia, North Carolina gets our mysterious minds working overtime.
For those note familiar with the area, here’s a map:
Apparently, this beast mauled a pit bull. Now there’s not a lot of creatures native to southeastern North Carolina capable of mauling a full grown pit bull.
The Associated Press reports:
The county’s animal control agency investigated the animal’s tracks, droppings and other clues but couldn’t determine what attacked the dogs. Locals call the unknown animal the Beast of Bolivia.
Locals are calling this thing the “Beast of Bolivia”. Three inch paw tracks were reported.
Any theories?

I saw a documentary about this on Monster Quest on the History Channel and it said it was a cougar but it isn’t possible because if it were the paw prints would’ve matched the species, the cougar would not have just drained the blood of the animals, would have eaten the bodies whole, and it wouldn’t have just bit certain animals and just leave it there to die, it would have ate the animal for survial. It showed, also, goats that have been attacked and the goats were seemed to be lined up in single file and drained of blood with the same markings on it. The animals flesh was left untouched and a cougar certainly would not just leave it be as is. But, that is just my small theory of this, so I think the Beast of Bolivia must not be a cougar but a creature all it’s own.

I have watched the show monster quest on the history channel and have seen the episode on the beast of bolivia. They claim it to be a mountain lion but i beg to differ. Firstly if it was so called “mountain lion” the pitbull ray ray(the first dog in the episode) was found drained of some blood and was lighter the she used to be. They said that the man buried the dog in the ground, but the next few days the dogs carcass was in the exact same position when she was killed. Would a mountain lion really do that? Chances are slim to none. Next they also said that mountain lions are extinct to the area but again i have seen mountain lions on my journeys through the forest. Lastly, if the so called “mountain lion” did unbury the dog and drag it back to the same place where she died there would have been some tracks, traces, or something that showed signs of an animal being there, that gives me the idea that the animal can fly.

This reminds me of another episode on Monster Quest where the locals in WV claimed to regularly see black panthers. The claim was pooh-poohed by our brilliant scientists, who said it was next to impossible. Until, that is, a resident made a video, and it was determined that it way too big to be a large housecat. Conclusion: the brilliant scientists could not determine what it was. They said it was unknown. People, wake up. Things are being seen by sane and reputable citizens, and not all of them can be explained by learned scientists. For all we know and think we know, there are many mysteries on this earth, and we will likely NEVER understand most of them. Just be thankful (and careful).

I don’t think this animal can fly as stated by titia but I do believe that it is an animal unidentified by scientist. With the tracks similar to a big cat I do believe that it is in the cat family…. some where on the evolutionary tree of the Panthera lineage.. maybe?? As for Ray Ray’s body being brought back to where she had died the previous day…. I’m not sure it’s possible. That can’t be real… but who knows? Maybe this Beast of Bolivia is that smart..
