Chupacabra? NOT!!
A few days ago we let you know about an alleged chupacabra found in south Texas.
Our extremely educated speculation led to the conclusion that the creature was simply a mangy coyote.
Well, close…but no cigar. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission say the thing is simply a fox with skin parasites.
John Young, a mammologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife recently examined the remains of the strange beast and stated that the animal is not a chupacabra or coyote but it is, in fact, a sickly gray fox with a typical case of parasites.
Coyote…fox…hell, we were close!

hahaha thats almost laughable. I saw the picture and it did not look like a chupacabra. in fact to me it looked like a hairless dog. it turned out to be a fox with skin parasites? Well then how do you explain the animals devoid of blood? I’m pretty sure foxes don’t suck blood. I don’t know what it is.

You have some bad information. John YOung the TPWD biologist did not examine the animal. He has only seen the pictures. I know this because the woman that has the animal is my wife. The TPWD has not shown any interest in determining what it is. they have not even asked to see the animal - only the pictures.

Thanks Steve. This information certainly puts a new light on this story.

they are not foxes people the foxes in texas dont get over 3 ft from tip to tip and only weight about 10 lbs. ive seen these things alive and dead dont know what it is but skin disease dont make u hop instead of run. they are all over rural north texas. if this is a diseased animal dont u think someone should be finding out what disease???? what if your dog got it ?
