More Bosnian Pyramid

More Bosnia Pyramid

We’ve been covering the alleged Bosnian pyramid here and here.

Well everyone’s favorite “may be a pyramid but then again…” story has once again made the news - and this time the story is apparently more of the same.

But in the latest salvo in this battle, the president of the European Association of Archaeologists said on Friday that he had visited the 700-foot (213-meter) hill and saw no evidence that it was human-made.

Speaking at a press conference in Sarajevo, Anthony Harding told reporters the pyramid-shaped hill was a natural phenomenon.

We’re sure this controversy will be put to rest soon. Stay tuned to Mysterious Earth for continuing updates.

Followup to the Texas Orbs

Followup to the Texas Orbs

Following up on our earlier story concerning the mysterious orbs in a church in Fort Worth, TX, we recently received an email from a member of the congregation there. She wanted to let all the Mysterious Earth readers know that the events really occurred and that the pastor of the Riverwalk Fellowship Church has put together a DVD with a lot more footage of these orbs than what was shown in local news coverage.

If you’re interested in finding out more, visit the Riverwalk Fellowship Church bookstore website and you’ll see the DVD for sale along with ordering information. We believe the DVD is selling for only $10 and it titled “Revival Services: Signs and Wonders”

Really Big Hoax?

Really Big Hoax?

We’ve been staying on top of the news concerning our coverage of the Really Big Pyramid.

Well…surprise…many consider this thing to be a hoax and the “discoverer”, Bosnian-American businessman Semir “Sam” Osmanagic to be a con artist of well, monolithic, proportions.

Well, maybe it is and maybe it ain’t - time will tell. But you gotta hand it to the local Bosnian entrepreneurs - they are sure making hay while the sun shines!

Local entrepreneurs have been quick to cash in on the interest, knocking out pyramid-themed souvenirs, including clocks, slippers, and T-shirts.

One pizza parlor now serves triangular pies on triangular platters. And a local hotel recently changed its name to the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Motel.

We’ll stay on top of this pyramid story. Read the entire article at National Geographic

Bosnian Pyramid

Really Big Pyramid

And we mean REALLY big!

Bosnian archaeologists have uncovered what they believe to be walls of a gigantic pyramid near Sarajevo. They estimate the height to be at an unbelievable 722 feet! If the evidence bears them out, this thing will be substantially bigger than the Great Pyramid of Giza - and then the question arises as to who built such as massive structure, and why did they build it? Well, the Egyptians are curious, because they have sent a team of their experts to investigate.

Osmanagic believes the structure itself is a colossal 722 feet high, or a third taller than Egypt’s Great Pyramid of Giza. The huge stone blocks discovered Wednesday appear to be cut in cubes and polished.

Here’s a map to the location of this unbelievable discovery:

More Mysterious Orbs

More Mysterious Orbs

We exclusively reported here on Mysterious Earth in December 2005 about mystery lights in England. Well, we’ve stumbled across an interesting TV report from the Dallas / Ft. Worth area about mysterious orbs in a church, of all places.

One thing that intrigued all the experts was a video shot by a 13-year-old boy at this church. According to the pastor, the teenager was visiting the church and was videotaping the service. The pastor says the power went out during the service, but despite the darkness in the sanctuary, they kept going. Later, when they replayed the boy’s videotape, they saw an orb of light moving through a church member. Pastor Solomon said, “…starts at her feet and goes right through her body out her head.”

The article from the CBS 11 affiliate in Dallas also shows a video of the orginal TV report. Take a look and see what you think.

If you’re in the area and want to visit the church for yourself, here’s the location:

Mystery Fish

Mystery Fish

This is one really wicked looking creature!

This monstrous looking fish was found along the shores of the Cayman Islands.

Layman Scott found the fish while walking along the beach early Sunday morning. It is roughly thirty inches long, more than half of which is a long, eel-like tail attached to a fish body. It has pale pink scales, pectoral fins, a dorsal fin and a small feathery fin on its belly.

If you’re an ichthyologist, feel free to enlighten us as to the identity of this crazy fish — bill@mysteriousearth.com.

Mystery Lights In England

Mysterious Lights In England

Exclusive Report to Mysterious Earth

We recently exchanged emails with Roger Beckley and Amanda Lodge from England. They live in County Durham in the village of Cockfield.

Their emails are very sincere and included pictures of some mysterious lights photographed in their backyard. Mystery light photographs are seemingly quite common and generally fall into one of two mysterious categories - 1) rods or 2) orbs. The more “rational” explanations generally also fall into one of two categories - 1) dust particles or 2) digital camera artifacts.

Below are the two photos from the series that show the mystery light, which is clearly a ball shape with some sort of tail. Click the filename beside the thumbnails below to see the original large photo as it was received here at Mysterious Earth. These photos are just as received - absolutely no retouching has been done (other than resizing the ones below for optimal viewing).

photos courtesy of Roger Beckley and Amanda Lodge

These pictures were taken on November 16, 2005 around 5:15 AM. The weather that night was, in the words of Amanda Lodge:

it was bitterly cold night but very clear skies no clouds

The pictures were taken with the following equipment:

my camera is an olympus 400 all weather digital, and i had the setting on night mode.

Roger Beckley and Amanda Lodge had decided to go outside and try to take some pictures of the moon that night:

the reason for taking the photos was because my partner said the moon looked looked very bright and that he had never seen it like that before, it was taken from our back yard, there is nothing behind our house just open fell, the moon was that bright that uor back yard was lit up as though someone was shining a spotlight into it

Roger Beckley, the photographer, did not see the object while he was attempting to photograph the moon. Amanda Lodge, his companion, did not see the object either.

These people seem very sincere from our email exchanges and would like to know what they captured on camera that night in November. In the words of Roger Beckley:

Hi, i found your websight and wondered if you can explain this photograph that i took shortly after 5am tuesday morning, i took 5 photos and 3 of them are really wierd and what was on them wasnt on them when taken, here is one of them could you please help, kind regards mr Beckley.

Do any of you have any theories? Can you get any information from these photos? Email your ideas, comments, and theories to bill@mysteriousearth.com and we’ll get all your ideas posted.

Flying Snakes?

Flying Snakes?

Pravda, the Russian newspaper, has a report of a mysterious series of deaths which locals attribute to flying snakes living in a dense bog area!

Naked dead bodies are found every year in the dense forests north of Saint Petersburg. The bodies have no evidence of violent death. The police are in confusion. Some blame evil spirits.

A small piece of land on the Vepskaya Heights has claimed 16 people who died in mysterious circumstances since 1993. But the casualty list is reportedly longer because some bodies have never been retrieved.

We’ve never seen a flying snake in these parts nor have we ever been to the St. Petersburg area, so we are definitely undecided on this mystery. One thing for sure, folks are dying under some rather weird circumstances. Read the entire English-challenged Pravda article for yourself.

Shades of Monty Python

Holy Hand Grenades??!!

Just when we thought we had seen it all - this. That’s right, straight out of Monty Python it would seem…except this is for real. So go forth and construct your own Holy Hand Grenades!

If you want to clear out the unpleasant entities from your immediate environment, expel parasitic/predatory ET’s from your auric field, neutralize the energetic effects of chemtrails, etc., just make one or more of these and put it on the ground or in your house, according to your intuitive promptings.

While you’re there, be sure and follow the links at the top of the page. Much weird and somewhat mysterious stuff afoot.

His Noodly Appendage

Be Touched By His Noodly Appendage

This open letter to the Kansas School Board is the most amusing and intelligent thing I’ve run across in a while. If Kansas is to teach Intelligent Design, can it really afford to remain Judeo-Christian centered without a nod to followers of the one and only Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Oh, and the Church of FSM has t-shirts and mugs available, as well, so you can help fuel the frenzy.
