Mysterious Lights In England
Exclusive Report to Mysterious Earth
We recently exchanged emails with Roger Beckley and Amanda Lodge from England. They live in County Durham in the village of Cockfield.
Their emails are very sincere and included pictures of some mysterious lights photographed in their backyard. Mystery light photographs are seemingly quite common and generally fall into one of two mysterious categories - 1) rods or 2) orbs. The more “rational” explanations generally also fall into one of two categories - 1) dust particles or 2) digital camera artifacts.
Below are the two photos from the series that show the mystery light, which is clearly a ball shape with some sort of tail. Click the filename beside the thumbnails below to see the original large photo as it was received here at Mysterious Earth. These photos are just as received - absolutely no retouching has been done (other than resizing the ones below for optimal viewing).

These pictures were taken on November 16, 2005 around 5:15 AM. The weather that night was, in the words of Amanda Lodge:
it was bitterly cold night but very clear skies no clouds
The pictures were taken with the following equipment:
my camera is an olympus 400 all weather digital, and i had the setting on night mode.
Roger Beckley and Amanda Lodge had decided to go outside and try to take some pictures of the moon that night:
the reason for taking the photos was because my partner said the moon looked looked very bright and that he had never seen it like that before, it was taken from our back yard, there is nothing behind our house just open fell, the moon was that bright that uor back yard was lit up as though someone was shining a spotlight into it
Roger Beckley, the photographer, did not see the object while he was attempting to photograph the moon. Amanda Lodge, his companion, did not see the object either.
These people seem very sincere from our email exchanges and would like to know what they captured on camera that night in November. In the words of Roger Beckley:
Hi, i found your websight and wondered if you can explain this photograph that i took shortly after 5am tuesday morning, i took 5 photos and 3 of them are really wierd and what was on them wasnt on them when taken, here is one of them could you please help, kind regards mr Beckley.
